Day trips

The Office of the First-Year Experience has planned a series of activities that will appeal to the broad array of interests that exist among Rensselaer students. On Wednesday, August 26, students are required to participate in one of the day trips being offered. For these activities pre-registration is required – all students must complete the Navigating Rensselaer & Beyond day trip registration form and return it to the Office of the First-Year Experience no later than July 3. Beginning Thursday, August 27, students can choose what activities they would like to participate in and no pre-registration is required.

There are also opportunities to participate in some optional volunteer programs on Thursday, August 27 and/or attend a Tri-City ValleyCats baseball game on Saturday, August 29.

What do I need to do now?

• Review the day trip descriptions and select which programs you are interested in participating in
• Fill out the day trip registration form, ranking your top 8 activity choices in order from 1 to 8, with 1 being your first choice
• Rank any Thursday programs you may want to be a part of and if you’d like to attend the baseball game (please note that spots are limited for both options).
• Return your form to the Office of the First-Year Experience no later than July 3
• Start to get excited!
