Overnight trips

There are eight very exciting Navigating Rensselaer & Beyond overnight trips offered this year for students attending sessions 1-4 (Block A) and two for students attending session 5 (Block B), each lasting three days and two nights in length. Please see the links to the right for detailed descriptions of each trip. If interested, fill out the overnight registration form and return it to the Office of the First-Year Experience no later than July 3.

Participants will be assigned to the overnights on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a $175 fee for each trip, which must be paid in full to reserve your place. The program fee includes round-trip transportation from the Rensselaer campus to all aspects of your adventure, room and board for the duration of the program, and any associated program costs. Unless specifically stated, no additional equipment is required. Overnight trip assignments will be e-mailed to participant’s RPI e-mail address as they come in, but no later than August 3. Refunds for the overnight trips will be available until July 31.

The Block A overnight trips will leave from the Rensselaer campus on Sunday, August 23, and return in time for the Navigating Rensselaer & Beyond kickoff event on Tuesday, August 25. Students attending one of these trips should plan to move into their residence hall rooms and attend a brief informational meeting on Saturday, August 22. Families are also welcome to stay and attend this meeting. Block A trips include:

The Block B overnight trip will leave from the Rensselaer campus on Friday, August 21, and return on Sunday, August 23. Students attending this trip should plan to move into their residence hall rooms and attend a brief informational meeting on Thursday, August 20. Families are also welcome to stay and attend this meeting.
