This year we will have an exciting Habitat build site in Rensselaer County! Join members of Rensselaer’s Habitat for Humanity student club and local chapter members in building a safe and affordable home for a family in need. Rensselaer students have been building for Habitat for Humanity homes in Rensselaer County for over 10 years and this year is no exception.

No experience is needed as you and your fellow classmates partake in the fun, challenging and rewarding task of building a house from the bottom up. You will be provided with all the tools and knowledge you need to know about building homes on site by members of Habitat for Humanity.

After working hard helping others, you will set up camp in the evening with your teammates in the Chapel + Cultural Center, located near campus. Enjoy dinner and the company of your classmates while you hear tales of local legends and the history of Troy.

“You can meet people, help the community, and have fun… we left a legacy in Troy with our house.”
