Freshmen Orientation Dates

SO Session 1: Wednesday – Thursday, July 15 – 16
SO Session 2: Friday – Saturday, July 17 – 18
SO Session 3: Wednesday – Thursday, July 22 – 23
SO Session 4: Friday – Saturday, July 24 – 25
SO Session 5: Monday – Tuesday, August 24 – 25**

  • **SO 5 is reserved for those students traveling more than 300 miles to campus.
  • Students that are part of the accelerated physician/scientist program are required to register and attend SO 4 or SO 5.
  • Students participating in a ROTC program are encouraged to attend a July session.

Details and sign-up information have been sent as part of the Welcome guide mailed by the Admissions office and on the Admissions accepted students’ website (including registration forms).

Navigating Rensselaer & Beyond (NRB), our fall orientation week, begins on Tuesday, August 25 and runs through Sunday, August 30. Classes will begin on Monday, August 31.
